Has it been two or more years since you’ve been enrolled at Triton College?  No problem, get back to college in four simple steps:

  • Step 1:
  • Step 2:
  • Step 3:
    • Take a placement test, if needed.
      • Students do not need to take the placement test if they have already done so within the last two years or if they earned a grade of “C” or better in college level mathematics and/or English.
  • Step 4:
    • Register for classes online through MyTriton portal, in person at the Welcome Center, or by phone at (708) 456-0300, Ext. 3130.
    • Meet with an advisor to discuss your goals and academic plan.

Our Career Services team offers career planning services, resources, and access to information to community members seeking to get better jobs, start new careers, or re-enter the workforce. Our staff is committed to helping you prepare for career options that match your individual skills, values, interests, and goals.

We offer several short-term certificate programs that can be completed in a year or less. All of our programs of study, including degree and certificate programs feature detailed program maps that outline exactly which courses—and how many credits—are needed to achieve your goal.

The credits you earned at Triton never expire, and our Records team will evaluate your transcripts from other schools.

You may also be eligible for Prior Learning Credit through placement exams or demonstrated work and life experience. If you have specific questions, a member of our Admissions team can work with you.

Triton College strives to offer an affordable college education. Tuition rates for the 2025-2026 school year start at $158.00 per credit hour.

We encourage all students to apply for financial aid.

Our Financial Aid team can walk you through the various ways to pay for college, including grants and scholarships, work study, and loans. Your employer may also offer tuition assistance.

We’re happy to show you around campus, to highlight new features since you’ve attended, or explore new areas of interest. We’re always updating our classrooms, labs, and student spaces to ensure we best prepare our students for the workforce.

We are here for you! We’ve developed an orientation specifically for adult and returning students. This is a great opportunity to get back into the swing of college and to meet other students just like you.

Our campus resources include teams dedicated to advising, tutoring, mental health and wellness, research assistance, affinity clubs, access and accommodations, and more. Whether you need a loanable laptop, 24/7 virtual tutoring, or an appointment with a medical professional, our staff will connect you to the services and materials you need to succeed.

We also have wonderful facilities to support your health and wellness, including a fitness center, indoor and outdoor tracks, and a pool.

Supervised children are welcome in the campus Library and Cafeteria, as well as other open public spaces.

Our accredited on-campus Child Development Center offers programming for children ages 15 months to 5 years.

Our School of Continuing Education offers youth and family programs and summer camps.

Our counselors share many helpful resources for families and our team of registered nurses highlight community partners who offer Family Health & Wellness Resources.

Our Center for Access and Accommodative Services (CAAS) team is happy to work with you to ensure you are set up for success.

We offer several 100% online career, professional, and certification training courses.

We also offer several flexible learning options, including individual online classes and weekend and fast track courses.
