60th Annual Commencement - Class of 2026

Commencement Livestream 

All Aug. 2025, Dec. 2025, and May 2026 graduates will be honored at the 60th Annual Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the Rosemont Theatre, 5400 N. River Road, Rosemont, Illinois at 3 p.m.

Graduates must arrive at 1 p.m.
Theatre opens to the public at 1:45 p.m.
Doors close at 2:45 p.m.
Seating will end promptly at 2:50 p.m.
Ceremony begins sharply at 3 p.m.

Please review the questions below in the order of the steps you must complete to prepare for Commencement.

Q: When do I have to submit my Application for Graduation?

A:

  • The Aug. 2025 deadline was Sunday, June 15, 2025
  • The Dec. 2025 deadline was Monday, Sep. 15, 2025
  • The May 2026 deadline is Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026

If you missed the Aug. 2025 or Dec. 2025 deadline, please submit a May 2026 application.

Q: When & Where is the Graduation Fair?

A:

Location: Student Center Cafeteria (Building B)

  • Monday, March 23, 2026 — 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 24, 2026 — 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

*Be sure to dress up!

At the Grad Fair, you can:

  • Purchase your cap & gown
  • Take professional graduation photos (photographers only available at this event)
  • Order commemorative class rings
  • Receive personalized career planning assistance
  • Sign up for the Alumni Association
  • Complete your Financial Aid Exit Interview

Q: When and where do I order my cap & gown?

A: Caps & gowns will be available at the Follett Bookstore from Monday, Mar. 23 – Thursday, Apr. 30 for $47.73 (tax included).

A $20 late fee will be added if purchased on or after Friday, May 1.

Bookstore Hours:
Monday–Tuesday: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Wednesday–Thursday: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Saturday–Sunday: Closed

*You must present a valid state ID or driver’s license.

DON’T WAIT! In-stock items are limited and special orders may take several weeks.


Q: Can I decorate my cap?

A: You may decorate the top of your cap as long as it is tasteful.

Offensive images or language are prohibited. If your cap is not permitted, a replacement must be purchased on-site for $10, cash only.

Q: I have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. Will I receive an honors medallion?

A: Yes. With your cap & gown purchase, you will receive the medallion you qualify for:

High Honors – Gold Ribbon Medallion

  • Associate Degree, Cumulative GPA 3.75 – 4.0

Honors – Red Ribbon Medallion

  • Associate Degree, Cumulative GPA 3.50 – 3.74

Certificate Honors – Blue Ribbon Medallion

  • Certificate, Cumulative GPA 3.50 – 4.0

*A cumulative GPA is is the overall grade point average across ALL semesters you’ve attended at Triton College.


Q: I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK). How do I order my stole, cords, and tassel?

A: Order through the PTK member portal.


Q: I am a member of Kappa Beta Delta (KBD). How do I order my stole, cords and tassel?

A: Order through the KBD store.

Q: How many tickets will I receive? When and where do I pick them up?

A: Graduates who purchase a cap & gown will receive six (6) guest tickets.

Guests age 2 and older require a ticket.

Tickets must be picked up:

Q: What if I need more tickets?

A:

  • The ceremony will be live-streamed on the Triton College website
  • Additional tickets may be available on a first-come, first-served basis on Friday, May 15, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., limit two per graduate, subject to availability

Q: What time should I and my guests arrive?

A:

  • Graduates arrive: 1 p.m.
  • Theatre opens to guests: 1:45 p.m.
  • Doors close: 2:45 p.m.
  • Seating ends: 2:50 p.m.

Important:

  • Give your guests their tickets ahead of time
  • Balloons, Strollers, Air Horns, Noise Makers, Food & Drinks are not allowed inside the theatre
  • Graduates may not carry purses, bags, or personal items — give them to your guests before check-in

Q: Where do I park?

A:

FREE Parking will be available at:

  • The Rosemont Theatre lot
  • The parking garage south of the theatre (N. Wesley Terrace)

*Please Do NOT Park at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago


Q: Will there be a practice or rehearsal?

A: No. Please follow instructions from the Commencement Marshals (wearing tuxedos).


IMPORTANT:

During the ceremony:

  • Graduates will change seats three times — do not leave anything on seats
  • After crossing the stage, you will be escorted to your final seat. You will not be permitted to leave the graduate area until dismissed by a Marshal

Q: When will I receive my degree or certificate?

A: Diplomas and certificates will be mailed to your home address on-file 6–8 weeks after your last date of attendance.

Graduates participating in Commencement will receive an empty diploma cover on stage for photo purposes only.
