From the North:
Exit from the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) at Irving Park Road (Illinois 19), heading
east to River Road. Turn right (south) on River Road. Stay to the right at Fifth Avenue
to reach Triton College. At the first stoplight, turn right (west) and then right
again. Turn left into student parking LOT 6 which lies between the Cernan Earth and
Space Center and Palmer Avenue.
NOTE: There is NO exit from the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) at North Avenue.
From the South:
From I-55, get off at Harlem Avenue (exit 283). Travel north 7.58 miles to North Avenue. Turn left (west) on North Avenue and travel 1.78 miles to Fifth Avenue. Turn right (north) onto Fifth Avenue. The main entrance to the Triton College campus is the first stoplight (Hemingway Street). Go to the second traffic light and turn left (west) and then right. Turn left into student parking LOT 6 which lies between the Cernan Earth and Space Center and Palmer Avenue.
From the East:
Travel west on North Avenue to Fifth Avenue (just past First Avenue).
Turn right (north) onto Fifth Avenue to reach the Triton campus. At the second stoplight,
turn left (west) and then right. Turn left into student parking LOT 6 which lies between
the Cernan Earth and Space Center and Palmer Avenue.
From the West:
Travel east on North Avenue to Fifth Avenue (past Winston Plaza). Turn left
(north) onto Fifth Avenue to reach Triton. At the second stoplight, turn left
(west) and then right. Turn left into student parking LOT 6 which lies between the
Cernan Earth and Space Center and Palmer Avenue.
Public Transportation
The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) provides easy access to Triton College. The Pace Suburban Bus Service (pacebus.com) route 331 stops directly on campus. Depending on where you are coming from, you can connect to the Pace system using the Metra commuter rail system and/or the Chicago Transit Authority’s (CTA) trains or buses.

Bus Parking Guidelines
- Buses should use the curb in front of the Cernan Earth and Space Center as a drop-off and pick-up zone. Buses should NOT remain parked at the curb for the duration of the visit. This area must remain an open fire lane for the Fire Department.
- After passengers have disembarked, bus drivers should relocate their buses to student parking LOT 6 just north of the Cernan Center.
- When the group’s visit has concluded, buses may return to the front curb to pick up passengers.
