Degree Seeking Students

a.  Submit the free Triton College application.

b.  To start the application, click on “Create Account”.

Degree-seeking students must complete English and math placement exams unless they meet one of the waiver criteria listed below. If you meet any of these waiver options, please submit unofficial transcripts and/or score reports to admissions@triton.edu.

English Placement Exemptions

Within three years of your high school graduation date

• Unweighted HS GPA of 3.0

 Within three years of your testing date

• ACT English and Reading scores of 19 or higher
• SAT Evidenced-Based Reading & Writing (EBRW) score of 480 or higher                 
• GED English score of 165 or higher

Math Placement Exemptions

Within two years of your high school graduation date

• Unweighted HS GPA of 3.0, with a math course completed each semester and a grade of C or better in all math courses.

Within two years of your testing date

• ACT Math score of 19 or higher
• SAT Math score of 510 or higher                 
• GED English score of 165 or higher

College-Level Courses

• Completion of an English and/or math course at an accredited college or university with a grade of C or better, or qualifying scores through the Advanced Placement (AP) exam or College-Level Examination Program (CLEP).

a.  Meet with an academic advisor to plan your first semester classes.

b.  Register for classes. 

a.  Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

b.  Fill out the Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid.

AND

c.  View and apply for Triton College Scholarships.

d.  Pay in full or explore payment plan options.

a.  Log in to your MyTriton student portal.

b.  Log in to your Triton College email.

c.  Set up Multi-Factor Authentication.

d.  Set up Direct Deposit for Financial Aid Refunds.

e.  Complete New Student Orientation.

f.   Get your Student ID (available 48 hours after registering for classes).
