Institutional Accreditation
Triton College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
The college’s accreditation is reaffirmed and in good standing through 2034. Triton participates in HLC’s Open Pathway, with its next comprehensive evaluation scheduled for 2034.
Institutional accreditation ensures that Triton College meets established standards of quality in teaching, learning, and student support, and that credits earned are transferable to other institutions.

Specialized Program Accreditation
In addition to institutional accreditation, many Triton College programs maintain specialized accreditation and align with external certification and licensure requirements to ensure graduates are prepared for professional practice.
Programs are accredited by the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Education Foundation, aligning curriculum with national automotive industry standards.

Certification:
Students may pursue ASE certification; some programs require passing ASE exams, while
others offer certification as an option.
Business programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices in business education.
