The Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Service Technician Certificate is created to empower students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle (EV) industry. Through classroom instruction and hands-on training, students delve into EV safety protocols, high-voltage systems, and advanced computerized diagnostics, aligned with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) standards. This immersive learning experience prepares students for immediate employment opportunities and equips them to pursue ASE L3 certification, positioning them at the forefront of automotive technology.
The program includes three required courses:
- AUT 175 – Advanced Electrical Systems: Starting, Charging & Lighting (3 credits)
- AUT 212 – Engine Performance II: Integration & Drivability Diagnostics (3 credits)
- AUT 221 – Vehicle Systems Analysis: Advanced Diagnostics & Repair (4 credits)
